INGREDIENTS:
1-1/2 cups finely chopped, pared apples
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar or honey
2 eggs
2 cups whole grain flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (3 oz.)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
INSTRUCTIONS:
Cream together butter and sugar/honey until light and fluffy.
Add eggs; beat well.
Sift together flour, soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture.
Stir in apples, cheese, and nuts.
Turn into greased 9” x 5” x 3” loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 - 55 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes in pan, then remove and cool on rack.
